I’m wondering if it would be ok to break a fast with whey protein isolate as opposed to a meal. The reason being I fast from about 8:00pm till 12:00noon but train from about 10:30 till 12:00 and don’t want to eat anything heavy until between 5:00 and 6:00pm.
I might have a light lunch but not until about 2:00pm.
The reason for the isolate is obvious post workout but wondered if it was ok seeing as how it’s the first intake after my fast.
Why not? You can break a fast with any meal you want. Just don’t use high calorie meals and junk food for this purpose.
