freddaParticipantSince I get migraines when I skip breakfast I am thinking of trying a 24 hour fast from say 9am (after eating breakfast) until 9am the next day. Anyone else do this or has tried this?

AnonymousInactiveI tried that once – I hated it! *lol* I find that I get the hungriest in the middle of my fasts, so I prefer to be sleeping then.
Are you getting in enough water when you skip breakfast? I don’t know much about migraines, but I know dehydration contributes to ‘normal’ headaches.
Are you a caffeine fiend, and skipping your usual morning coffee when you skip breakfast? I know that caffeine helps ward off migraines.
I hope you can figure it out and find something that works for you!

JulieParticipantThe only way to know is to try. It might work for you. If you are busy or you work at dinner time you might not notice it. I think some here have gone from lunch to lunch.

AnonymousInactiveThis is the one I always do. I find that I don’t overeat near as much doing this one. I am trying a breakfast to dinner fast this week, just to see if I can without bingeing at dinner.

AnnaParticipantThe only thing I’ve noticed that is hard with that is sometimes you wake up early and can’t get back to sleep. If you read ESE Brad talks about the body creating HGH from hours 15-24 and this can cause more alertness. You can give it a try but if you find you can’t sleep early in the morning you will know why.
