      Hello all,

      I have been doing Eat Stop Eat (ESE) for 4 weeks now. I just would like some clarification and thoughts on this private issue so let’s call it BM from this point on …

      I have noticed that my BM are less formed but are quite “cleansing” afterwards. Is this because my body is cleansing more after a fast? Sometimes I do go twice within a couple of hours after each … I wonder if the first lot is food from pre-fast eating and the second lot which is more … how do I say this “on the slushier side” toxins and excess matter to be digested?

      I use to be regular but found that as I entered menopause, which also causes metabolism to slow down, it became less frequent. Since fasting and with more strength training (which I started to commit to once I started the ESE Intermittent Fasting (IF), I find that my trips to the bathroom have increased and are now more regular. Is this a sign that IF has helped my metabolism?

      I am loving ESE IF and do feel better. I am also very curious as to how my body is functioning and faring during the ESE IF. It fascinates me and I would love to learn more.

      Well, Hello Valerie !

      I’m brand new to this forum, this very minute but let me respond to you here because I’ve got something that really works with this. After my obligatory colonoscopy a few years ago, I felt so, well GOOD being all cleaned out that I looked around for what might make this feeling regular (sic). What I found was organic psyllium, it comes a bunch of different ways but a jar of organic psyllium “flakes” is there at Trader Joe’s and other places. I put a teaspoonful into a glass of water and down this easily. It’s real bland so I add ascorbic acid powder to it and it tastes OK. Idea is that you down it quickly and follow with another glass of water which can go down much slower. This totally pulls bowel evacuations together in such away that nothing’s left behind, and that seems real healthy, feels good, too.
