HaloParticipantHas anybody purchased online the Visual Impact Cardio program by Rusty Moore and if so, did you feel it was worth the price and can you comment on it? Any other recommendations for a cardio program? I’m thinking I need to add in a little more cardio, but unsure what type and amount of time to spend on it. I still have a lot of fat to lose and thought extra cardio might speed the fat loss up a bit. I’m not a patient person with respect to weight loss. I want it gone now and am willing to pay the price and do what it’s gonna take.

CyndiParticipantI started with visual impact for women back last year, that led me to Eat Stop Eat. His cardio is a Hiit program that ramps up its intensity each week. It gets pretty tough. I didn’t follow it properly myself as it got too much. It is basically various forms of HIIT intervals for approx 15-20 mins followed by 20 mins steady state. His theory is the hiit releases free fatty acids into the blood stream then instead of leaving them there to be re absorbed you do the steady state to burn them off.

HaloParticipantThanks! That was a very helpful review. I’ll think about it some more.

leislyParticipantI did Visual Impact some time ago. I was 165 lbs postpartum. I tried p90x with my hubby and he quit in the first 2 weeks. I continued and quit 1 week from finishing I was frustrated I lost about 10 lbs but my legs were getting bigger than they were when I had started, which led me to looking for a way to slim my thighs.
My hubby and I found Visual Impact. I did the whole thing pushing a stroller with 2 babies in it and lost weight. I went from 154 to 135. I was happier there but way off from my physical goal.As far as the program I really enjoyed some of it. There was a work out was fallowed with a run than a walk to burn the free fatty acids. I was not impressed with the work out. There was not enough explanation for me, and I felt it was a waste of time. The run would vary and kept my interest. I looked forward to the next run, and was able to challenge myself. The challenge was more time or speed not really distance. The walk for me was always the same. best part was my thighs shrunk back in to my pre-pregnancy pants.
It is a HIIT. The knowledge with his program I use now and I am seeing results that’s in the first 2 weeks. I also just got the ESE and have not finished reading that.
As for its value I am not sorry I got it. I really enjoyed the book. The results were more than worth it for me. I am finding I need a lot of change to keep me motivated and interested. I hope this helps.

camilleParticipantHalo, I bought Visual Impact a long time ago and it is a great HIIT program BUT — I wasn’t in near good enough cardiovascular shape to do the workouts. I’d like to try them again at some point when I build a stronger base. Right now I am doing the Couch 2 5K program, which is free for your phone. It’s interval style runs at first–run 60 seconds, walk 90 seconds, and progresses. For me, it is perfect because cardio has always been tough for me, so this is pretty much HIIT for me. I end my “run” sweaty and red-faced.
So my point is… if you’re in good cardiovascular shape, get it, otherwise do something else to prepare and hold off on buying it until you’re ready.

nancyParticipantVisual Impact is what led me to ESE. I like his cardio program and the progression of the HIITs from week to week. I was running before I found Rusty so I had a good cardio base and was able to do his program all the way to the final level. His weight training program is pretty basic and not really different from anything you would find in a fitness magazine or bodybuilding.com. Other programs has more depth to it in terms of lifting for a woman’s hour-glass shape. I would say his cardio program is a great compliment to a workout routine. When I bought his book Visual Impact for Women it came with the Cardio book – I didn’t realize you could buy them separately so if that’s the case, I would just go with the cardio book if its more reasonably priced than the bundle.
