anandagirlParticipantHi girls! Recently I’ve got an email from Eat Stop Eat Newsletter where Brad recommends the Venus Factor as a workout program for women who want to build muscle and look sexy and feminine at the same time. The system is designed by John Barban. If you follow the Venus Factor routine, please post your positive or negative reviews, results, advice etc., since I’m intrigued by this diet!!

MiaParticipantWell, I have been following venus factor diet for 13 weeks, and here are my results:
Start date: 02/03/2016 Waist: 81 cm Shoulder 110cm and weight 63 kilos
Today: Waist 74cm Shoulder 102cm weight 56.3 kilos
Total Lost to date Waist -7.0cm Shoulder-8.0cm weight -6.7cmSo in just over 3 months I am nearly 7 kilos lighter, which is fantastic. I have updated the venus factor nutritional calculator and an extra 50 calories a day has been offered – fine. For an outsider that might not seem a lot but for me its great, a small bag of popcorn, a yogurt, an extra cup of white tea (very important to me as I am english and you know we love our tea)
I am only 4cm from my shoulders goal and already at the top end of my hip goal but still 13cm away from my ideal belly goal. This is the area that is taking its time to get smaller but I will keep working at this for sure! I am only 1.9 kilos away from my ideal weight.
I can’t wait for my hubby to come home so I can take my before and after photos for our personal photo album!

HelenLParticipantI started the Venus Factor program a year ago (give or take a day or so). What results have I achieved? Let me list June 7 2015 versus June 7 2016.
Weight: (2lb). Almost the same at only 2lb lighter fully fed and watered. I did initially drop ~10lb and even went down 14lb after a limbo, but now I am back to almost my starting point. But a completely different body. I would also think my comp weight will be 3lb lighter than this.
Shoulders: +1.5 inches. Over venus index now but happy with this.
Chest: +1.5 inches. Not boobage unfortunately, all lats.
Waist: (0.7) inch. Under venus index but that is the way I am built.
Hips: +2.9 inches.
Arms: +0.7inch. Not quite the definition I want yet.
Upper thighs: Same. This is same despite the fact I am carrying DOMS today and I have built up legs for skiing.Bodyfat mm: So callipers are dodgy but the mm pinches are ok to track. Abs, illiac, chest and upper back are 25-30% less. Lower back, arms and thighs are half. Butt is also half, but there ain’t no convention on this one. That is one mighty lot of BF gone. Replaced by pounds of muscle.
Eating: No longer orthorexic. I know the truth about calories and how different food types effect me. I know how to manage this. I have gone from thinking I can probably eat about 8600 calories per week for the rest of life and not have the body I want, to knowing 6500 calories per week works when I was cutting and at maintenance I am ok with 10k-12k calories of food.
Lifting: Lift heavier. I have doubled and tripled many of my lifts. I have PBs on squats and DL of over 2x my BW. This from a princess with Barbie Doll weights. My muscle index has gone from 14.8 to 33.0. That means I am strong.
My Lessons:
1. Depleted maintenance doesn’t work. It is a recipe for disaster. You will keep your weight down but you risk muscle, being able to build muscle and even a metabolic disturbance/adjustment. When you do eat at maintenance (or even a big day), it isn’t BF it is water and food. Unless you have weeks of big overeating.
2. I know I can drop 2-3 lb with a short fast. This is enough on most occasions.
3. The scale is a demon, trust the mirror, your waistbands and the tape.
4. Lift heavy. Think beyond the little pink DBs to the guys equipment. Olympic bars, the biggest DBs, beast sized KBs. You can do it.
5. Your weight will fluctuate. For me it is about 5lbs with food, bloat, TOM, DOMS. If it is higher, it is time to lose again.
6. Don’t panic. You know what to do.- This reply was modified 9 years, 5 months ago by

SwenConger3116ParticipantI lost 15 lbs in my first month doing venus factor. I did not take total body measurements so I don’t know the total amount of inches lost but in my waist alone I have lost over 3 inches!

AnonymousInactiveSo happy I found Venus!
A little bit about me before I get into the details. I am a 36 year old stay at home mother of 5, life is super busy, I tend to put my needs last, most of the time without even realizing. I was 226 lbs about three years ago, the heaviest I’ve ever been, I am 5’5″ tall so that was quite large for me, over the course of two years from then I managed to lose 50 lbs.
I was starting to feel really good, then this past year I just stopped keeping track of my food intake and exercising and gained back 20 lbs. I am very disappointed in myself for allowing it to happen, but it happened and I can’t focus on it, I just have to get myself back on track. I stumbled upon Venus Factor and decided this is what I need to finally get the body I’ve wanted and deserve! I finished up week one of the program yesterday. To my utter amazement, I didn’t feel deprived, quite the opposite, I enjoyed my food more than I ever have in my life.
I truly did not think it was possible to only eat 1000 calories per day. I must add at this point, that I did not follow the program exactly, I ate over my calories some days, especially over the weekend, as it was Easter weekend. I only did one of the workouts, which I loved, although quite challenging for me as I am very out of shape. I was sore for 4 days I lost 5.2 lbs., 1.25 inches off my waist, I am thrilled! I am very motivated to continue on my Venus journey! I will follow the program more closely this week, I cant wait to see what happens!
Yesterday I took my measurements, I am very happy to say that after two weeks, I am down 4.5″ overall and have lost 7 lbs! Due to PMS I had a tough week trying to resist chocolate and carbs, however I did ok, I only went over my weekly calories by 268. The first week I only did one workout. Last week I did two and went for a walk as well. I plan to do three workouts this week and walk twice. I have already noticed an increase in my endurance and strength. It is truly amazing what our bodies are capable of if we take care of them and give them what they need! I can’t wait to see what my body will look and feel like when I’ve shed the remaining 50 lbs.

anandagirlParticipant1 week – 1.2 kg lost!
Ok girls…one kilo less! I have no idea about measurements because I think I did something wrong with that. According to the measurements I gained inches on all area’s which sounds weird to me. So I’ll try that again next week.
I was going between 119.5/120.5 (263/265lbs) kilo’s for weeks. And the scale tipped 118.3 (261lbs) this morning. If this is the rate of losing I’m happy with that. Since I’m not doing any cardio and not starving myself. 2 to 3 lbs a week is fine with me. 40 to go for the first goal I have. Getting to 220lbs.
Anyway: I had a good first week on venus factor. I’m not getting down to 1000 calories. But staying around the 1200. I get so many cravings if I get to 1000 that it makes me go crazy. So I guess it’s better to have 1200 in healthy food than 1000 in healthy and some horrible snack or chocolate bar.

carla89ParticipantHi, girls! So, today I finished my first 12 weeks on venus factor! When I started Venus 12 weeks ago I had 1 simple goal: to lose 25 pounds by my 47th birthday. As my birthday has just past and my first 12 weeks have expired here are my results:
Down 16 pounds, down 1.5 inches off my shoulders, 4 inches off my chest, 4.5 inches off my waist, 3 inches off my hips, 2 inches off both my arms and my legs. That is not the 25 pounds I had set as my goal, obviously. The funny thing is, my objectives changed along the way. Yes, I really want to lose the last 9 pounds, I’ve been stuck hovering at the same weight for weeks now. But more importantly now I want to start as many days each week with a solid workout; I want to feel the tightness in my muscles everyday. I never thought I’d ever be able to hold a plank for a full minute, I can now hold 3 for 90 seconds each- new goal is 2 minutes each. Little goals like that are my new objective.
My plan for the next 12 weeks is to put the measuring tape away, do what I’ve been doing, start back at week 1 and move forward again!

IsabelleParticipantCarla, congratulations on your success so far! You’ve done great.
Yes, just repeat the program until you reach your goals. Then keep repeating some version of this for the rest of your life.
You setting those smaller goals is part of this lifestyle change. There are things we can tweak and strive for while keeping our eye on the big prize as well. Keep it up!
You can always share your new venus factor results here too!
