Note: this is my personal venus factor review. If you’re looking for the official Venus Factor website then click here

Ok, for the past 12 weeks I’ve been using the Venus Factor program to try and lose weight.

It’s been an interesting experience so I thought I’d write this post to share my review and results.

At the beginning, I’d like to tell a little bit about me.

For the past 13 years I’ve been working behind a desk for a construction business.

When I started this job I was pretty slim but over the years I’ve been snacking waaaay too much and not doing enough any exercise.

So as you can probably guess after 13 years of living like this I wasn’t the slim chick I once was.

It got to the point where I didn’t even go out anymore, I just didn’t have the energy and I was sad about the way I looked.

I was 35 pounds overweight and my outlook on life was pretty dim until I came across an ad for the Venus Factor one day while I was on Facebook.

I desperately needed to lose some weight so I decided to give it a go as it was only $37.

So here we are 3 months later and I’m writing this post to share my results and hopefully help you lose weight too.

    What Is The Venus Factor?

The Venus Factor is a 12 week weight loss program that is supposed to help you burn fat, lose weight and get in shape.

    It’s only for women. 🙂

Here’s what you get when you buy the Venus Factor.

    1. 12-week fat loss system e-book

So this is the main product. It’s a 180 page ebook but round 80 pages are meal plans to follow. It took me a couple of hours to read through.

In this book you will learn the whole Venus Factor system and why women need to eat differently to men.

It basically explains a new way of eating for women to burn fat and gives you an exact schedule to follow.

There’s a lot of information in here and I had to read the entire book twice just to make sure everything sank in.

But it’s all pretty easy to follow even if you’re a bit slow sometimes 🙂

The Venus Factor guide opened my eyes to a better way of eating as a woman and how I can eat to lose weight but also stay healthy.

It tells you all the right foods to eat to burn fat and lose weight with meal plans included.

    2. 12-week workout system

This is a 12 workout plan that goes along with the diet plan. As you probably already know, if you want to lose weight then you need to exercise.

As someone who hasn’t exercised since I was at school I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to do the Venus Factor workouts just because I was so unfit but I was wrong.

Even I was able to follow the workouts. I struggled at first but gradually over the weeks and months as I lost weight and got in better shape the workouts became easier.

The workouts usually last me around 25 minutes.

They mainly focus on resistance exercises such as push ups and squats and exercises where you use your own body weight as resistance.

This is because resistance workouts are much more effective at burning fat.

You can actually burn twice as many calories in a resistance workout than you would with a cardio workout such as running on the treadmill.

The Venus Factor program will have you doing lots of different exercises to burn fat.

Some of them you probably wont have heard of before but don’t worry because you can click on any of the exercises and it takes you to a video that shows you how to do it step by step.

This is really well thought out and I just like that they took the time to create over 136 videos.

They’re only a minute or two each and they’re really good at showing you how to do the exercise.

Exercise is really important and I think the Venus Factor workout program is top notch.

The workouts are challenging and will leave you in a good sweat but not so grueling that it leaves you feeling like a zombie for the rest of the day.

When you combine the workouts with the eating plan you’ll be amazed at how fast you start to lose weight and you’ll notice big changes in your appearance.

    3. Venus Factor Nutrition Calculator

The Venus Factor comes with a handy little nutrition calculator.

You enter in your height, age and weight and some basic measurements and it tells you exactly how many calories you should consume to lose weight.

Losing weight is all about burning off more calories than you consume. When you do this your body needs energy and the first place it goes it to your fat stores.

So it’s really important to make sure that you’re eating the right amount of calories so that you burn as much fat as possible.

So make sure that you use the nutrition calculator as it’s really important for your success!

    4. The Venus Factor Private Forum

I think the private forum is one of the best things about the Venus Factor because it’s very active and the introductions section alone has over 59,000 posts.

Right now there are over 600,000 members and there always seem to be lots of people online to answer questions.

So if you ever get stuck with something or need advice it’s pretty cool that there are thousands of other women who have gone through the Venus Factor and are there to help you.

One of the first things I noticed when I bought the Venus Factor and looked through the forum is that there are many women on there having success and losing weight which encouraged me to do the same.

It was good to see that there were people having success with the product.

Even if you don’t want to post on the forum you will still gain a lot just by reading the helpful stuff on there.

One of my favorite threads on the forum is called – “The Last 10lbs”.

The last 10 pounds thread has over 394 posts in it from women on their way to losing the last few pounds. There’s some really helpful tips in there.

The forum isn’t just to talk about the Venus Factor either. There’s lots of other stuff on there about losing weight and improving health.

In my opinion the forum alone is worth the $37 the Venus Factor costs just because there’s so much helpful stuff on there about losing weight from real people.

The Pros and Cons of the Venus Factor

    Let’s start with the cons.

You will need extra equipment for the workouts – Luckily for me I was able to borrow the equipment from a guy at work.

    Some of the equipment needed for the workouts are;

    • Dumbbells (I use 6lb and 10lb dumbbells)
    • Resistance bands
    • A workout bench

The bench is kind of optional as you can just use a sturdy chair. In fact there are plenty of exercises in the Venus Factor that don’t require any equipment at all but if you can I would recommend the equipment above.

You should be able to get all of the above for less than $100.

Now let’s get get onto the pros.

It’s easy to follow – After you’ve gone through all the material you’re pretty much set to go as all the meal plans and workouts are there for you to follow.

You’ll know when to exercise and what to do in your workout and you’ll know exactly what to eat and how much. You can even get started today if you like.

The community is amazing – Reading posts in the Venus Factor forum from women who have purchased and are seeing results will motivate you to get your own results and if you ever have a question then you can get help super fast.

The workouts are very effective – If you hate the treadmill then the Venus Factor workouts may be just what you need.

They’re all about body weight exercise and resistance training. This is because resistance training tones the muscles and burns fat faster than regular cardio.

The workouts aren’t very long but they’re great at burning fat. This is great if you’re busy and don’t have hours to spend on the treadmill every day.

You’ll see results fast – Because you’ll be eating the right foods, exercising regularly and will be on a calorie deficit you’ll lose weight very fast. It’s amazing how fast you start to lose weight and see results.

I started losing weight within days.

My Venus Factor Weight Loss Results

If you’re thinking about buying the Venus Factor then I expect there’s one question on your mind right now.

The question: If I follow the Venus Factor system will I lose weight?

Well I’m about to share my results with you and then help you decide whether you should buy it or not.

I’m happy to say that after following the V.F system for 12 weeks I have lost weight!

I even kept a log of how much weight I lost week by week. I like to write stuff down and keep diaries.

So as I said earlier my goal was to lose 35 pounds. That’s a big goal as 35 pounds is quite a lot of fat to get rid of.

Here’s how much weight I lost week by week.

My weekly Venus Factor weight loss log:

    Week 1 – Lost 5 lbs

    Week 2- Lost 2 lbs

    Week 3- Lost 2.5 lbs

    Week 4- Lost 2 lbs

    First month lost 11.5 lbs

    Week 5 – Lost 2.5 lbs

    Week 6 – Lost 2 lbs

    Week 7 – Lost 3 lbs

    Week 8 – Lost 2 lbs

Second month I lost 9.5 lbs

    Week 9 – Lost 2.5 lbs

    Week 10 – Lost 2 lbs

    Week 11 – Lost 3 lbs

    Week 12 – Lost 2 lbs

Third month I lost 7.75 lbs

So, total weight loss is almost 29 pounds in 12 weeks.

I still need to lose 6 pounds before I reach my goal but I am so happy with losing almost 29 pounds in just a few months which flew by very quickly!

I think I’ll be able to lose the last few pounds within the next month or so.

They say that the last few pounds are the hardest to lose but I’m learning lots of helpful tips from the Venus Factor forum so I’m confident I’ll get there soon!

    Since losing weight I have found;

    • I have much more energy and find myself wanting to do stuff more instead of just slouch on the couch. It’s almost like a new lease of life.
    • I look much healthier and my skin is a lot clearer.
    • I feel much happier.

Plus it’s pretty nice that lots of people have commented on my weight loss and even asked me how I’ve been doing it.

That’s something you can look forward too if you commit yourself to the Venus Factor system.

Should You Try The Venus Factor?

Because I’ve had great results with the Venus Factor you may think the answer is yes.

But I’m not here to try and sell you anything so my advice is to take a second and ask yourself if you’re really committed to losing weight.

Although the Venus Factor really works it’s not going to make you skinny overnight and it requires a commitment and for you to stick with it!

I believe that if you are willing to stick with it and follow the diet plan and workout routines then you will definitely lose weight with the Venus Factor system.

Now it’s your turn…just click here to get the Venus Factor program.

And then get started with it as soon as possible. Also visit their private forum to ask questions, get tips and insights from Venus women’s community.

Tess, here’s a few quick tips on getting started, that I found on venus factor forum:

    1) Download the workout, review the day 1 with video links, and head to the gym or home gym.

    2) Then take your measurements and enter them in the Venus Factor calculator.

    3) Use a calorie counting tool to help you follow the Undulating eating protocol.

Note: The calorie deficit is a RANGE, typically 1000 up to just under your maintenance. Play around with what values work for you and feel okay to you. It might be 1200 or 1300 or even higher if you are taller. Every day does not have to be the same deficit.

Progress not perfection. The fact is none of us are perfect, ever, on the food. What matters is the average daily over time, 7 days, 30, 60, 90 for results… the rolling average over time, not perfection.

So it’s important to know not every day has to be the same, you can eat up to maintenance any day you want, anything under maintenance is a win. To lose fat over time, all you have to do is eat more days under maintenance every week than at maintenance, and not go over maintenance.

It’s important to pay attention to how you feel, and change things up and not get stuck in a rut with fasting, meal timing, calories too low, etc. Your body is not a machine and there is not a specific formula.

On the golden ideal, don’t worry about that either, what matters most is the weight range, not the actual numbers. They just give you something to shoot for, and it is a real possibility to reach those although it is not practical for most of us unless we want to be fitness competitors which is also not practical for most of us and is actually not necessary.

So the two most important numbers to remember:

    1) your maintenance calories. Anything under is a deficit for fat loss over time.
    2) your weight range. Anywhere in there is IDEAL.

I started venus factor 5 days ago. I read the program book, weighed myself & took the measurements to figure out deficit, I’m using my fitness pal app to track calories. Just do the best you can w/ the food choices. It’s more about calorie counting & creating deficit. I have Venus app on my phone. I took a pix of the exercise list for the 3 days this week & I’m using the videos on exercise library for easy access at the gym.

I just did my 2nd workout for the week. I needed a few days to recuperate from soreness. It’s progress, not perfection. I have found w/ my success of losing 45 lbs before finding this program that it’s consistency over time that wins. I need to lose approximately about 30-35 lbs. I’m taking it one day at a time & will figure out by how I look.

AlexaFit, thank you a very detailed review. Great work!

Tess, my advice is to keep it simple. Read the Fatloss venus factor manual. Read your first day’s workout and review the demonstration videos to familiarize yourself with each exercise. You might want to try them to see if your body is ready. Then jump right in. The most important step is the one that you take. All the studying in the world will get you nowhere unless you use it.

You can do any type of exercise and use whatever equipment the you choose. Fat loss is not dependent upon exercise. It’s a numbers game. Eat below your maintenance calories and you will lose fat.

A couple of basic principles to remember:

Fat loss is as simple as deficit eating.

Weight lifting is for shaping our muscles that are waiting to be revealed by our fat loss.

That’s it. No gimmicks, systems, pills, shakes, complicated eating patterns, food pairings, forbidden foods, etc.

Hi! I’m 23 years old, and I started the Venus Experience Program exactly one week ago. I am not sure what results I am supposed to have after a week, but I went from 168lb to 164.8lb. That could be because of water weight, so I’m not very pleased or anything. I really want to see results. I am following the calorie plan rigorously through an app on my phone! If anyone has any advice about where I am supposed to be right now in my weight loss journey, it would be appreciated! Or any recommendations about how to see results as fast as possible. Especially about investing in any supplements. Thanks.

I just finished the venus factor manual. I’m sort of a picky eater so I’m kind of nervous about making a calorie meal plan and having all the stuff add up?

I’m really picky when it comes to veggies I only like a few and not the green ones. well peas sometimes…so I’m still just a little all confused I guess on how to make calorie meal plan and all that?

I went to myfitnesspal.com and typed in all of that but it doesn’t completely match up with with the Venus Factor manual and everything. I’m sorry for all the questions I just want to fully understand before I start so I can pour my whole heart into it. So if you could answer any of my questions and give me any advice it would be very much appreciated!

Pam, I think that your goal is to get close to 1000 calories per day. Some days you may be over a bit and some days you may be under. Eat foods you like that get your total close. You get there by getting the protein in and then fill up with veggies.

Plan your meals around protein sources. Then add veggies you like.

Pam. There is no need to follow the menus, the great thing about Venus is you can eat what you like. You will, however find that protein and vegetables will fill you up and keep you satisfied longer for less calories. But don’t take my word for it – experiment and see what works for you. Don’t be afraid to try something new, though.

Hi, girls. I’m still fairly new to the program but I stay between 700 to 900 calories on a daily basis and try to get close on my “eat up days” to the recommended 1800 but I’m not seeing any progress. I’m also taking different supplements. I account for every calorie. I do the weight training 3 times a week and then cardio on the others.

April, how long have you been doing this? I’m assuming a week or two! I know of quite a few ladies who don’t have immediate results in weight loss but have bigger whooshs later on! This is definitely a process that your body will take on its own and you can’t judge it based on someone else’s results unfortunately! You are doing great things for your body – inwardly and outwardly – so right now maybe the internal changes are happening instead! Stick with it and you will see the changes! Are you doing measurements as well as weighing? Sometimes the metrics move but the weight doesn’t – and vice versa! Just KNOW that you are moving in the right direction if you are doing all the things you should! It will show soon!
